If the clinic sends an STL, open it. The label should say whether it is a scan, a provisional, or a final design.
Open the lab file
before you accept the plan.
A clinic can describe a bridge in a message. The record a patient can actually check is the file: an STL that opens, a shade written as a name, and imaging the clinic says the laboratory received. This page does not verify a surgeon or a clinic.
A file that will not open
has not arrived.
Ask for a copy before travel, not after a dispute. Opening the copy shows that a mesh exists. It does not show that the prosthesis fits.
Look at the file with a browser tool
TrazaLab publishes the tools below from its dentist software platform for clinics and laboratories. Verified Surgeons does not operate them. They do not verify a license, a clinic, or a result, and they do not diagnose.
Surgeons who want the broader product stack can open TrazaLab's dental lab software homepage next.
Open an STL
The free STL viewer opens a dental mesh in the browser. Use it on a copy. A shape on screen is not an approval.
Read a shade name
The free shade guide is a reference for VITA Classical and 3D-Master zone names. It does not measure color from a photograph.
A broken mesh
The free STL repair page can be tried on a copy that will not open. A repaired file still needs the clinician and the laboratory to accept it.
A scan file
TrazaLab’s dental DICOM viewer is in Spanish. It is a viewer, not a reading of the scan. For the paper record that should travel home, see patient records and aftercare.
What opening a file does not do
These answers stay inside the file. They are not a recommendation to travel, and they are not a verification decision.
Does an open STL mean the clinic is verified?
No. Verified Surgeons profiles are a separate record. A mesh that opens only shows that the file could be read.
Should I travel because a design file looks complete?
No. Examination, imaging, and a written plan from a qualified clinician still decide treatment. Dental travel risks are discussed under dental tourism.
Who publishes the free tools?
TrazaLab publishes them. This page links to those tools so a patient can open a file. The link is not an endorsement of an outcome.
Editorial record: Published by Verified Surgeons as a patient file-check note. Updated 14 October 2026. A page is not medically reviewed unless a qualified reviewer is named on that page. No reviewer is named here. The free tools are published by TrazaLab and are not a verification method.
